Who we are

MoosePOI, LLC is a Delaware limited liability company that operates MoosePOI, a Voice over IP Point of Interconnection for licensed carriers and IPES providers. We’re built by people who run carrier voice networks — so the product is shaped by what actually matters when you’re carrying live calls: authenticated identity, verifiable trust, and reliability you can stake a call path on.

Why we built it

The US is moving PSTN interconnection from TDM to IP, and carriers need a practical way to stand up and manage IP voice interconnection without re-architecting the networks they already run. Much of the tooling around trust and inbound control has been out of reach for small and mid-size carriers. We built MoosePOI to change that — one clean onramp to IP interconnection, with inline STIR/SHAKEN verification and real inbound control included, not sold as an upsell.

What we run for you

MoosePOI is built by people who run carrier voice networks, for the people who run them too. The interconnection fabric is the core of what we do — but a voice provider needs more than a POI to keep calls flowing. You need DNS that never flaps, a web presence that stays up, and somewhere to run the voice platform itself.

The usual answer is to stitch those together from a handful of consumer-grade hosts and hope none of them has a bad day while you’re carrying calls. We think that’s backwards. You’re a VoIP provider — the things you depend on should be run to the standard voice demands, by one provider who operates with telecom-grade reliability.

Connect once, interconnect over IP

Standing up IP interconnection the traditional way means a separate build with every partner — commercial terms, technical turn-up, testing — repeated for each relationship, and often a fair amount of network engineering on your side. MoosePOI replaces that with a single connection to a shared Point of Interconnection. Bring it up once, and you can interconnect with your partners over IP without re-architecting the network you already run.

MoosePOI Participation Rules & Acceptable-Use Policy

These rules govern participation in MoosePOI, operated by MoosePOI, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“MoosePOI,” “we,” “us”). They exist so that every participant can rely on the same baseline of trust and attribution. They apply equally to every participant, including the carriers owned by MoosePOI’s owners.

1. Who may participate

Participation is open to licensed carriers and IPES providers with numbering authorization, and to their interconnection partners, that can present a valid identity and exchange STIR/SHAKEN-signed traffic. Each participant must complete identity verification before connecting.

1. The Service

MoosePOI is a neutral IP Point of Interconnection at which authenticated carriers exchange STIR/SHAKEN-signed SIP voice traffic. MoosePOI verifies signatures, provides per-participant attribution, and provides tooling that lets participants control the inbound traffic that crosses their MoosePOI interconnect. MoosePOI is an interconnect; it does not originate calls, sign traffic, or issue certificates.

An IP interconnection is only as valuable as the certainty that comes with it. MoosePOI’s design is built around one question: can a participant be certain who sent them a given call? On MoosePOI, the answer is yes — every time.

Here is what that certainty rests on.

Inline STIR/SHAKEN verification

Every call that crosses MoosePOI carries a valid STIR/SHAKEN signature, and MoosePOI verifies it inline — chained to the STI-CA roots. We verify signatures; we never sign them or issue certificates. MoosePOI is an interconnect, not an originating switch, and we’re precise about that distinction because it’s what keeps the verification meaningful.
