1. Introduction

MoosePOI is operated by MoosePOI, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information in connection with the MoosePOI website and the MoosePOI interconnection service (together, the “Service”). MoosePOI is a carrier-facing interconnection service; our participants are businesses, not individual consumers.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Participant and Contact Information

We collect information that participants and prospective participants provide, including company name, business contact details, billing and account information, and the technical and identity information necessary to authenticate a participant (including certificate and credential information used to establish participant identity and for STIR/SHAKEN verification).

2.2 Signaling and Traffic Metadata

To operate MoosePOI, verify signatures, and provide attribution and inbound control, we process call signaling metadata, including calling and called numbers, timestamps, routing and OCN information, STIR/SHAKEN attestation and verification results, and the identity of the participants involved. MoosePOI does not record or store the audio content of calls.

2.3 Technical and Usage Data

We automatically collect technical information related to the operation and security of the Service, including IP and network information, connection and session data, service-usage statistics, and quality and performance metrics.

2.4 Website Data

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • authenticate participants and operate MoosePOI;
  • verify STIR/SHAKEN signatures and provide attribution and inbound-control features;
  • maintain the security, integrity, and performance of the Service;
  • cooperate with industry traceback and respond to lawful requests;
  • provide billing, support, and service communications; and
  • improve the Service, using aggregated or de-identified data where practical.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information:

  • with service providers who support our infrastructure, billing, and operations, under appropriate confidentiality obligations;
  • with participants, to the extent inherent in providing attribution and inbound-control features (for example, surfacing the sending participant’s identity, OCN, and verification status to a terminating participant);
  • as required by law, including valid legal process and lawful requests, and in cooperation with industry traceback; and
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to comparable privacy protections.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the Service, meet legal and regulatory obligations, support traceback and security, and resolve disputes. Retention periods vary by data type and applicable law.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain information, or to object to certain processing. Because MoosePOI is a business-facing service, most data we hold relates to participant organizations rather than individual consumers. To make a request, contact us.
